Manager, Sustainability

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager who is passionate about ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and committed to advancing corporate sustainability.

This role will involve leading ESG reporting, sustainability strategy development, and climate risk assessments.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various business units to identify sustainability risks and opportunities, develop decarbonization strategies, and ensure alignment with the latest industry standards and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ESG Reporting and Risk Analysis:
    • Lead ESG reporting initiatives by assessing operations, supply chains, and stakeholder engagements.
    • Analyse ESG-related data and financial reports to create comprehensive risk profiles and performance metrics.
    • Refine and communicate ESG risk analysis findings through insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Conduct scenario analysis and quantitative assessments to identify and measure risks from physical and transition factors, with a focus on net zero and decarbonization goals.
    • Develop and implement best-practice sustainability strategies that address climate-related impacts on operations and supply chains.
  • Strategy Development and ISSB Alignment:
    • Stay updated on ISSB standards and integrate these into strategies that enhance our ESG performance, mitigate risks, and drive sustainability initiatives.
    • Ensure the Sustainability Framework aligns with the broader Enterprise, Governance and Risk Framework.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
    • Design and deliver training sessions for internal teams to increase awareness and understanding of ESG reporting, climate risk, and biodiversity.
  • Technology Implementation and Industry Insights:
    • Configure and implement sustainability monitoring and reporting technologies to improve data accuracy in sustainability reports and disclosures.
    • Keep abreast of ESG industry trends, emerging best practices, and opportunities to support data-driven client recommendations.
  • Data Integrity:
    • To ensure all aspects of the sustainability report reflect accurate data from all sources and avoid any misrepresentation of the company.
    • To ensure collected sustainability data is transparent, consistent, and accountable across all stages from data collection, analysis to reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CSR-P) are advantageous.
  • 6-8 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability consulting, ESG risk analysis, or financial accounting, ideally with a focus on biodiversity.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks (e.g., ISSB, TCFD, GRI, CDP, SASB) and climate-related financial risk standards.
  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS and/or other financial reporting standards (e.g., HKFRS, Australia FRS, Singapore FRS).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create high-quality presentations under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building and managing relationships across diverse stakeholders.

Executive / Senior Executive, Sustainability

We are seeking a Sustainability Executive who is passionate about ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and committed to advancing corporate sustainability.

This role will involve data collection, reporting, compliance, and communications related to sustainability goals and strategies.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Sustainability Manager and various business units to identify sustainability risks and opportunities, develop decarbonization strategies, and ensure alignment with the latest industry standards and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Management:
    • Assist in gathering sustainability data: Collect data related to energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, carbon emissions, and other sustainability metrics from different departments (e.g., facilities, HR, supply chain).
    • Support data tracking systems: Use software tools (e.g., Excel, sustainability management platforms) to track and organise sustainability metrics.
    • Monitor sustainability performance: Help track the company's progress toward achieving sustainability goals, such as emission reductions, waste reduction, or energy efficiency improvements.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Support the preparation of sustainability reports: Assist with compiling data and drafting sections of sustainability reports, ensuring they align with internal and external reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, ISSB).
    • Help maintain documentation: Ensure that all sustainability-related records are kept up-to-date and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Prepare presentations or summaries: Create slides or executive summaries that communicate sustainability performance to internal stakeholders or external audiences (e.g., investors, clients, regulators).
  • Compliance and Standards Support:
    • Assist in regulatory compliance: Help ensure the company adheres to local, national, and international sustainability-related regulations and standards, such as carbon reporting or waste disposal regulations.
    • Support ESG audits: Assist in internal or external audits of sustainability data to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
    • Track sustainability certifications: Support efforts to achieve or maintain third-party sustainability certifications.
  • Project Support:
    • Assist with sustainability initiatives: Support the implementation of sustainability projects, such as energy efficiency programmes, waste reduction campaigns, or diversity and inclusion efforts.
    • Conduct research: Help research emerging trends in sustainability, such as new technologies, regulations, or market demands, to support the company's sustainability strategy.
    • Coordinate logistics for sustainability events: Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, or corporate sustainability events aimed at engaging employees or stakeholders on sustainability topics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Assist in communication efforts: Help draft internal newsletters, blogs, or social media posts related to sustainability initiatives.
    • Liaise with departments: Coordinate with other teams to gather necessary data and align sustainability efforts across the organization.
    • Support employee engagement: Help promote sustainability initiatives internally and encourage employee participation in sustainability programmes.
  • Continuous Improvement & Learning:
    • Stay updated on sustainability trends: Regularly research industry trends, best practices, and emerging sustainability standards (e.g., ESG, climate-related disclosures, circular economy) to improve the company's sustainability practices.

  • 3-4 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability consulting, ESG risk analysis, or financial accounting, ideally with a focus on biodiversity.
